Contemporary architecture makes generous use of door and window glazing – both to maximise natural light and to introduce a strong, contemporary aesthetic. This mixed-use office and hotel development provides a gleaming, multi-faceted example. The west face of the building pictured below features a 100mm x 50mm flush-glazed aluminium system. The uppermost green windows are back-painted spandrel glass – an opaque element that conceals services and floor joists when viewing the building from the exterior.
